Application for NORCET 2022 Announced

AIIMS, Delhi has announced Norcet 2022-23 on 4 August 2022. Candidates who have completed B.Sc Nursing, Post BSc Nursing, or GNM can apply for the post of Nursing Officer to any of the AIIMS anywhere in India. Qualified GNM need an additional 2 years of work experience in a 50 bedded hospital.

NORCET (Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test) is a common entrance test for nursing staff to every one of the 18 (more being added) AIIMS across India. NORCET is conducted by AIIMS Delhi. The recruitment will be completed by December 2022. The candidates will receive posting as per their choices in AIIMS located across India.

80 percent of the seats are reserved for women and 20 percent for men in these vacancies.

NORCET 2022 Exam Date

NORCET 2022 is scheduled for Sunday 11 September 2022. The entrance exam is going to be a Computer Based Test (CBT) from selected centres.

The placement to various AIIMS institutes will be decided based on the NORCET 2022 score. Candidates who are already working in one AIIMS institute may still write NORCET and get transfer to AIIMS located in another location. They will receive seniority and salary as per their previous AIIMS placement. In order to avail of this, the candidate should apply following the proper protocol. This involves a No Objection Certificate from the current institution before you apply.

AIIMS Nursing Officer Salary

The successful candidates are offered a salary as per the 7th pay commission in the Level 7 of Payband 2 of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-. As AIIMs is an autonomous institution and set up based on an act passed by the Indian Parliament, the salary may vary from the Central Government employees.

Freshers start their salary around 60,000 INR including various benefits, bonuses, grade pay, etc. The Nursing Officer gets an annual increment of 3 to 5 percent on basic salary. The total salary will have a greater increment as the basic salary increase will separately add on to the HRA and other allowances. The Central Government also announces DA increments every year. HRA is given to the employees based on the city of placement.

AIIMS NORCET 2022 Application Submission

The application for NORCET 2022 can be done only through online mode. The application fees for General and OBC category is Rupees 3,000 and for SC/ST category the amount is 2,400. Candidates with disability are exempted from any fees for application. The fees can be paid through Debit/credit card or netbanking.

There are age relaxation offered from 5-15 years for various category of candidates. Kindly check out the details at the official notification.

In cases where more than one candidate secures equal MARKS, tie will be resolved
(i) First by using date of birth with older candidates placed higher
(ii) If not resolved by (i), by number of wrong answers / negative marks will be used wherein those with less wrong answers / negative marks will be placed higher. Merit will be reflected accordingly in NORCET Score.

Recruitment to NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TUBERCULOSIS AND RESPIRATORY DISEASES

Norcet 2022 has recruitment to National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases also added. There is a separate notification in this regard in the official website. In the NITRD recruitement, age limit is 35 instead of 30 as in the AIIMS recruitment. Exam will be the same for for AIIMS institutions and NITRD, but the salary will differ slightly.
